Our winter book club selection is The Brightwood Code by Monica Hesse - a historical mystery about a young woman reckoning with the secrets of her work as a US Army switchboard operator during World War I. We'll be joined by staff from the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum to discuss codes, ciphers, war-time communication, and The Great War. Participants receive a FREE copy of the book to keep, sponsored by the Friends of the Staunton Library. Three Tuesdays in January - January 7, 14 & 21 - from 4-5 p.m. in the YA Area. For ages 13-18.
