Tentatively, In Person Early Voting for the June 2026 Primary Election will take place from May 1, 2026 through June 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in City Hall in front of the Council Chambers.
Also available on Saturday's, June 6 and 13, same hours and location.
The Registrar’s Office maintains an accurate list of registered voters for the City of Staunton and administers elections in a fair, efficient, and equitable manner in accordance with the election laws of the U.S. Constitution and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We also provide and approve applications for voter registration and absentee ballots. In-person absentee voting is available in the registrar’s office when ballots are ready, approximately 45 days before an election. The office will be open for in-person absentee voting on the Saturday before all general elections from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in addition to regular office hours.
