The Housing Programs Division’s responsibility is to advise and lead the City’s housing activities, policies, and initiatives with an emphasis on affordable housing and housing for working families. In addition, the Division administers the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program that is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Housing plays a major role in a community by providing residents shelter, safety, and financial security. It is also a significant economic development driver.
