All programs at the Staunton Public Library, whether sponsored by the Library or by community groups, are open to all and offered at no charge. The Library welcomes people of all abilities. Please alert us at least 5 days in advance if there is a need for accommodation.

Food may be served during some library programs; contact us if you have questions or concerns.

Library events may be photographed and recorded for promotional materials for the City of Staunton and City-approved third parties.

Geri-Fit: Exercise for Older Adults

45-minute video-led strength building workouts for older adults.

Designed exclusively for older adults, Geri-Fit helps rebuild strength that's been lost through the aging process. Having more muscle and strength helps ensure that we will have a higher level of function as we continue to age. Most exercises are done seated - no dancing or getting on the floor. Each exercise is fully explained and demonstrated on the videos, hosted by Geri-Fit creator Francesca Fisher.

Bring a set of light dumbbell weights (2 lbs - 8 lbs depending on age and fitness level), a resistance band, and water to drink.
