The Staunton Public Library provides numerous services and resources beyond books, including public computers, free wi-fi, a photocopier, fax machine, typewriter, artwork displays, special collections and meeting rooms available for public use and more.

Book a Librarian
Do you need one-on-one help with an issue? Fill out a Book a Librarian appointment request form and a librarian will schedule an appointment with you to meets your specific needs! The Book-a-Librarian service allows you to make an appointment in person with a librarian who can help! Appointments will last between 15-30 minutes and can cover basic technology instruction, how to use library resources, using microfilm to do research, and more! Please also use this form to make requests for test proctoring.
Book a Librarian is also available for walk-in appointments Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Just ask at the Reference desk.
Computer Center
The Computer Center has PCs for Internet use and include Microsoft Office 2016 products. Computer users must read and understand the Staunton Public Library Computer Use Policy and Internet Use Disclaimer and abide by the rules of use. Children under age 10 may not use the Internet computers without direct supervision by a parent or guardian. Printing costs $0.25 per page.
Digital Media Lab
The Digital Media Lab is available by appointment only and located on the first floor near the Reference Desk. Appointments are limited to two hours per day with exceptions made on a case-by-case basis. The Lab has digital conversion equipment that you can use to preserve your family history and home memories, a microfilm reader, and provides a quiet place for online meetings. Call the Reference desk at 540-332-3902 to reserve time in the Digital Media Lab.
Displays
The work, interests and collections of local people are displayed on the walls and in the glass-fronted cases on the First Floor. Community members are encouraged to share their collections. Please see our Display Application & Release Form for more information and how to apply.
Mobile Printing
With our MobilePrint Service™, you can use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library’s printers from anywhere. Simply submit documents for printing and come to the library to release and pick up your document using your library card. Printing costs $0.25 per page.
