All programs at the Staunton Public Library, whether sponsored by the Library or by community groups, are open to all and offered at no charge. The Library welcomes people of all abilities. Please alert us at least 5 days in advance if there is a need for accommodation.
Food may be served during some library programs; contact us if you have questions or concerns.
Library events may be photographed and recorded for promotional materials for the City of Staunton and City-approved third parties.

Friends of the Library Donation Days

The Friends will soon be collection donations again, but they are moving donations off-site: they’re negotiated a deal for space at Christ Lutheran Church at 2807 N. Augusta Street! Please do not drop donations off at the library.
The Friends will accept book and media donations there AND have their fall book sale there October 13-17. As a reminder, they cannot take certain things:
- Items with missing/torn covers, water damage, mildew or loose pages
- Reader's Digest Condensed Books
- Encylopedias
- Magazines or Periodicals
- Items older than 5 years in these subjects: medical & health, travel, and computer and software manuals
