The first draft of Staunton's  Flood Resilience Plan is ready for public review! 

The City of Staunton is developing a Flood Resilience Plan to help better prepare for, respond to, and recover from flooding. As part of this process, we encourage all community members to review the first prepared draft of this plan. Any questions, comments, or concerns should be submitted to StauntonStormwater@ci.staunton.va.us. Your input is vital to the creation of a good plan. We look forward to hearing from you!

Citizens are also invited to attend the next community listening session where city staff and the project's consultants will be available to take comments and answer questions.

Community Listening Session Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
  • Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Staunton Public Library, Second Floor Meeting Room (1 Churchville Ave.)
  • Purpose: Share your comments and questions about the first draft of the Flood Resilience Plan.
